Song: "What I Got"

Artist: Sublime

Early in the morning
rising to his feet
Dr. P is in the lab
using Grignard technology
Got to find a mechanism
one that explains it all
Got to find a way to make smaller carbon chains long

I got an ethane
And I can add bromine
Shining light together forms monobromoalkane.

Carbon chain is too short, so react with what you got
Cause you might use up magnesium all in one shot
Now if you come in contact with a bullet proof ring
Use a bit of bromine over FeBr3

Take a small example
Take some BrCH3
Use Grignard technology watch MgBr+ flee
New bonds what I make
Longer chains in my reach
If you don't believe me then go ask Dr. P
It all comes together
Get a longer carbon chain
Better learn quick cause on the test the same
Toluene's what I got
Don't start a riot
You feel it when the beaker gets hot

Chorus:

Grignard's what I got
Spontaneously
Carbon chain is what I form
Said remember that

Primal screams when he hands out the tests
I don't get angry and I always do my best
If my mind goes blank, don't know what to say
I'm always wishing and praying for an A.
So many mechanisms, elevator up and down
Grignard's to make the carbon - carbon love so long
Let the knowledge, let the knowledge
Come back to me

Chorus
