Little ditty about Mr. Grignard
Created a way to make carbon-carbon bonds
Bromine's gonna be a reaction star
Hooking up with Mg and sticking like tar

Suckin' on an electron pair outside the carbanion
Grignard reagent's on the outside, trying to do its job
Bromine says, 'Hey carbon, why don't you let us both in'?
'So we can do what were supposed to, and make longer chains'
